Our Vision for Graduates as part of IFES
We see the work of IFES as building life-long disciples of Jesus Christ. People who will continue to live and speak for Jesus in the world after university, just as they have done as part of opur student groups.
Our Graduates are the fruit of all that we do, they are the people who by God's grace may have come to Christ, or may have been disciples as believers under our Student Ministry, and who now, at the end of their student days will, we hope, carry on bearing fruit in every area of their lives. It is often suggested that the 'proof' of the value of all that IFES stands for is the ongoing testimony lived out by our Graduates twenty years after they leave our student groups, not just the number of people we have attending our student groups today.
We want IFES graduates to:
- Understand how to live with Christian values which draw people towards Jesus;
- Convey the Gospel to their colleagues and postuniversity contacts;
- Learn how best to work alongside us in building IFES ministry;
- Have sufficient maturity as Christians to prevent them drifting away from the church and their faith immediately after graduation.
