Transition
The Christian Handbook for Life after University.
This is a series of articles originally published in the UK as the Transition handbook by UCCF.
These articles are for Christians starting out in working life (though they're also brilliant if your in work, or just thinking about work). In these articles we look at what it means to be a Christian on Monday morning as well as on Sunday morning. How to bring the life we have in Jesus with us into the workplace, and so avoid becoming spiritual schizophrenics!
The handbook is also available in Polish, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, French and German - you can get details from the IFES movements in those countries. We hope to get multi-lingual versions of these articles available online in due course.
What do you think about graduation? Perhaps you can’t wait to get out there and make something of your life, perhaps you dread the prospect of leaving behind good student days and student friends.
For everyone it is a significant transition in their lives.

It’s easy to think that life after university will be much better. No more exams or essays, no more grimy student digs, and (best of all) enough money to live on. However, unless we are realistic about this transition then life after university can come as a bit of a shock.

Is it a gift or a curse?
For many, work appears to be at best a means of making cash, and at worst just an accident of life.
Did work originate before or after the Fall? Is it part of God’s punishment on us? Or does the Bible have something completely different to say about our working lives?
