Signposts - Resources for Discipleship
Christian witness is like being a signpost, pointing people to Jesus Christ.
A signpost needs three things in order to work well. It needs words that clearly and unambigouously point people in the direction that we want them to go (in this case to Jesus Christ); these words in turn need a solid structure holding them up high so that they are clearly visible to passers by; and the structure needs to be set in a firm foundation to stop it being blown over or turned around by passing football fans!
In Christian witness we know the words are important; but in order for our words to have th full impact and authority they should have (after all they are the words of eternal life) our lives should be lived with authenticity and integrity, so that nothing we do will ever detract from the claims we want to make about Jesus; and in order for our lives to be built with integrity we have to know what we believe... it is the whole message of the Gospel (those who confess with their mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in their heart God rasied Him from the dead, will be saved (Rom 10.9)) that gives us the ability to stand firm no matter what comes our way.

Signposts - Studies in 1 Peter
It is great for us to meet together to encourage each other to keep walking with Jesus, to share issues we face in our workplace, and above all to pray together for those we work with - that they might see something of Christ’s love for them in us, and that they might have their blind eyes opened to the truth of the Gospel.
If we’re fortunate enough to have a graduates group that can meet regularly then we need to meet not just for fun and company but also for growth, growth in our understanding of how our Father cares for every part of our lives and all that we do.
We’ve got some studies on here, and will try to build the studies that you could do with other graduates. Read more>>>
Mentoring - getting beyond groups
Sometimes as Graduates life is just to busy, or our city too big, for us to be regular members of a graduates group. But we still need to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Wouldn’t it be great if the Grads group could come to us where we are and when we can fit it in with work/life schedules.
Well that’s the whole point of mentoring. Flexible discipleship still hitting the right places to help us but arriving when we need it and where we need it. Read more>>>
