Cross-Current Leaders Training
Cross-Current is an idea.
How would it look to live with real Christ-like character at work?
How would this shape our approach to work, colleagues, integrity, money, ambition, and purpose?
How would it shape, and give reality to our witness at work?
How would it give purpose and meaning to our working lives?
Cross-Current builds on biblical worldview to explore profound ideas that underly our identity in Christ, and the transformative work of the Spirit changing us from the inside out.
Cross-Current is a journey.
Real change often takes time, as the Holy Spirit transforms us from glory into glory.
Cross-Current comprises six modules, created to be used with groups that learn together over time.
We dig deep into the Bible for truth that speaks to our working lives;
We reflect on our own workplace culture;
We examine our own attitudes and behaviour;
Through peer mentoring we work on our own personal agenda for change;
Together we seek the Lord’s help in becoming the people He intends us to be.
Cross-Current is a community.
If you think you need help bringing your identity in Christ together with your identity at work, think how many other people out there need exactly the same.
How could you help them?
How could we help you help them?
Could you find 10-15 people in your church, of from your IFES student group, or just among friends, and invite them to explore how Jesus can shape who we are at work, and what we do through work?
Cross-Current is for you.
Would you, and a couple of friends, be willing to have a go at forming a group?
Cross-Current is flexible - you can use the material the way that suits you best. A series of evening meetings, two Saturday mornings, a whole Saturday seminar, a weekend away - whatever suits you and your friends best.
We are here to help you work out how best you can help others like yourself to grow in Christlikeness at work as a fundamental aspect of our witness to a watching world.
